I have 35 years experience in retail and 30 of those in independent supermarkets. In my early days I worked for Woolworths and Big W moving from there to Action Supermarkets for 6 years in Western Australia. Later I worked for 8 years for a group called Farmer Jacks and from there for Newmart Supermarkets, until they were bought out by Coles. I became State Manager for a company called Brands on Show. In my time with independent stores I have managed stores with turnovers from $50K to $800K - I have also been a buyer, promotion mananger and supervisor.
